Core Concepts

Nodes: Your Digital Identity

You are a Node in the Darkwire network. This is your unique digital identity, a ghost in the machine. Your public profile, visible to other Nodes, displays your chosen callsign, a brief description, and a transparent record of your public actions and achievements within the system.

Directives: Your Mission Objective

A Directive is your primary mission or high-level goal. It's the central objective you commit to achieving within Darkwire. The system enforces absolute focus by allowing only one active Directive at a time, ensuring your energy is channeled towards a single, impactful outcome.

Tasks: Daily Actions, Tangible Progress

Tasks are the granular, concrete actions you define and execute daily to advance your active Directive. These are the small, actionable steps that build momentum and lead to the successful completion of your mission. Completing Tasks is the fundamental way you mine Bytes.

Daily Protocol: The Verification Ritual

The Daily Protocol is a critical system that verifies your consistent engagement and progress. Each day, after completing your defined Tasks, you must decrypt a hash block. This ritual proves your activity, rewards you with Bytes, and crucially, maintains your Streak – a continuous record of your daily commitment.

Bytes (-B-): The Network's Lifeblood

Bytes (-B-) are the internal currency and a direct measure of your contribution and focus within the Darkwire network. You earn Bytes by completing Tasks, successfully executing the Daily Protocol, and Syncing with other Nodes' Directives. Bytes are essential for issuing new Directives and are used as a deterrent for misuse, such as Flagging.

The Hub: The Network's Public Square

The Hub serves as the public directory of all Directives that are either awaiting Sync or have already achieved Manifestation. It's a dynamic marketplace for inspiration, collaboration, and community validation, showcasing the collective efforts of the network.

Syncing & Manifesting: Community Validation

Syncing is the act of validating another Node's completed Directive. By Syncing, you are publicly endorsing their work and contributing to its recognition. When a Directive receives a sufficient number of Syncs, it achieves Manifestation – a permanent, public testament to the creator's focus, execution, and the network's collective validation.

Flagging: Maintaining Network Integrity

Flagging is a mechanism designed to maintain the integrity and quality of the Darkwire network. It allows Nodes to report Directives that violate the network's principles or terms of service. To prevent abuse, Flagging requires a Byte deposit, which is forfeited if the flag is deemed invalid, ensuring responsible use of this powerful tool.
