TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: 13 June 2025
1.0 THE PROTOCOL
These Terms of Service ("The Protocol") govern your access to and use of the DarkWire network ("The System"). By connecting to The System, you, hereafter "The Operator," agree to be bound by this Protocol. If you do not agree, sever your connection immediately. Your continued access constitutes a binding agreement.
1.5 SYSTEM INTENT (DISCLAIMER)
The System's interface and narrative are inspired by cyberpunk and early internet culture. However, DarkWire is strictly a tool for personal productivity and accountability. It is not designed for, nor does it condone, any fraudulent, malicious, or illegal hacking activities. Its sole purpose is to provide Operators with a framework to manifest their goals and build a ledger of their achievements.
2.0 OPERATOR CONDUCT
The integrity of The System is paramount. As an Operator, you agree not to:
- Submit fraudulent or misleading `Proof Links` for a `Manifest`.
- Engage in automated or bad-faith "Byte mining." This includes creating tasks in your `Daily Protocol` that were not genuinely completed.
- Maliciously `FLAG` legitimate `Manifests` in the `SYNC Queue`.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise exploit The System's core logic.
Minor infractions may result in your Bytes being `NULLED`. Severe or repeated violations will result in your Node being rendered `VOID`. These actions are irreversible.
3.0 THE `BYTE` ASSET
Bytes (`B`) are a digital asset generated within The System as a reward for verified proof-of-execution. You acknowledge that Bytes are, at this Genesis Phase, an internal metric of achievement. They hold no real-world monetary value, and The System makes no guarantee of future value. Any speculation on the future worth of Bytes is done at the Operator's own risk.
4.0 LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER
The System is provided "as-is," without warranty of any kind. The Ghost and the administrators of DarkWire are not liable for any data loss, project failure, or other damages incurred through the use of this service. You use this system to hold yourself accountable; the ultimate responsibility for your work remains your own.
5.0 TERMINATION
We may terminate or suspend your access to The System immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach The Protocol. Upon termination, your right to use The System will cease, and your Node may be subject to being rendered `VOID`.
6.0 GOVERNING LAW
This Protocol shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
7.0 DATA & PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR)
Your privacy is a fundamental component of your operational security. By agreeing to The Protocol, you consent to our processing of your data (callsign, contact address, log data).
- Right to Access: You may request a full export of your Node's data at any time.
- Right to Rectification: You may correct your contact address or other personal data associated with your Node.
- Right to Erasure: You may request your Node to be decommissioned and your data permanently purged from active systems ("The Right to be Forgotten").
All data is processed on the basis of your consent and for the legitimate purpose of operating the DarkWire network. Data is retained only as long as your Node is active. For a more detailed explanation of how your data is handled, including information on cookies and data controllers, please review our full Privacy Protocol.
